The RAM-30 will cool one or two DIMM memory sticks.
When cooling two, the sticks must be in adjacent slots
because the cooler will not expand any wider.
|
|
The RAM-30 features width adjustment, which
allows adequate contact pressure for the memory
modules once installed.
Before installation, the cooler should be extended
to its maximum size. To do this, loosen both thumb
screws and slide apart the moveable outer plate.
|
|
By design, the RAM-30 cooler
is not symmetrical. The top
hoses lean toward one side,
which should face away from the
opposite memory banks when
installed. This provides room for
additional memory sticks, or a
second RAM-30 water cooler (liquid cooler).
|
|
Your computer memory may come with a heat
spreader. If these are rivoted, do not attempt to
remove them. Most will still fit within the cooler.
However, if the heat spreader uses clips (and can
be removed without damaging the memory), then
you may do so.
|
|
When the RAM-30 water cooler (liquid cooler) is installed,
each DIMM memory stick should rest between
two sheets of the Hydra-Pak(TM) (not between the
Hydra-Pak(TM) and the outer plate).
|
|
The mounting brackets on both ends of the RAM-30
cooler fit below the hinged DIMM latches.
|
|
With the RAM-30 cooler properly placed over
the memory, gently squeeze together the
outer plates.
|
|
Tighten both RAM-30 thumb screws to hold
the cooler and outer plates to the memory
banks.
