Original CPU-360 to Rev 1.1 Update Program

The original CPU-360 water block may have a physical conflict with some motherboards. The cooling block requires 2.65mm of clearance between the edge of the CPU socket and the nearest capacitors. Mainboards with closer capacitors can conflict with the CPU-360 cold plate. Specifically, some X58 chipset models (particularly Gigabyte X58 boards) may encounter this issue.

A revision has been made to the CPU-360 that bevels the bottom cold plate to avoid the clearance problem. This is "Revision 1.1". There are no other differences between these versions. The below images illustrate the update:

All new CPU-360 water blocks purchased from the Koolance.com website after Feb. 28, 2010 will be Rev 1.1. For customers who have already purchased the original CPU-360 from Koolance.com or a Koolance sales partner and have or anticipate a motherboard conflict, Koolance will update the CPU-360 to Rev 1.1 at no charge.
